Well I got back to my room after working all day and I found myself locked out.. I was like awesome, same thing happened the night before. So I went down to the front desk and asked for a new card. I figured it was desensitized because working at my gig. So they kindly gave me another card and I headed up stairs.. Surely enough it didn't work either.. So I went back down to the front desk, and they sent someone up there to see how idiotic I was being. Well by George he couldn't open the door either. In fact I guess it was completely dead. So he called maintenance, and the guy that was helping took off.. About 5 minutes later the guy came running up the staircase huffing and puffing... Let's just say, I'm not on the first floor. He went to inspect what was up and sure enough it was dead. So he went back down and back up this time he brought a door charger. Who would have thunk it.. After about 10-15 minutes of monkeying around with it, it still wasn't charged. So he proceeded to pull out a drill. I did ask him if I was going to need to get a new room and he said no... So I thought this was going to be interesting.. Drill baby Drill... Well after about 3-4 minutes of not making any progress or seeing any metal shrapnel flying off he went back downstairs to get a new drill bit. Few minutes later he was back... He drilled out the hole in about 4-5 minutes... Took a hammer to it.. and knocked off the face place.. Then he worked his magic on the lock and opened up the door.
Then the fun really began, he had to put the door back together. So I went and hopped on the bed and turned on the TV to watch Apollo 13 on HBO. About an hour later he was done.
Good times..
After that I swapped out the work clothes to something more comfortable and headed to 21st & South Street. A corner bar named
Ten Stone & met a co-worker, his girlfriend, and his roommate. He lives down the street from there. After having dinner and a few drinks, we went back to his place and was introduced into Sanson his knew boxer he got for Christmas.
I proceeded to teach it a few tricks and commands that we use on
Bam Bam. He's a pretty obedient dog. Couldn't teach him fetch though... too bad.
